JAVA_HOME setting problem

Hi Team,

In one of the cassandra tutorials, it says to set the JAVA_HOME with
/usr/local/java/jdk1.8.0_65
I did that but faced the below message when i'm trying to start the
cassandra with this command "bin/cassandra -f"
"Cassandra 3.0 and later require Java 8u40 or later"

Can you please let me know if I have to do something else it to work.

Thanks,

user@cassandra.apache.org is the mailing address for the cassandra user
mailing list. I see an email going through correctly on that address as of
about 1.5 hours ago, so if you're getting rejected my guess is that it's on
your end / mail provider

Hi
This is list of developers and I think this issue isn't fit for this list.
Thus you should ask such this issue in the users list and like that. Please
check this command in command line/terminal,
java -v
I think you didn't setup JAVA_HOME correctly. Please reply in person not to
the list.
