installation problem

hi everyone,

i got jserv running (on apache 1.3.9, jdk1.1.7 and suse linux 6,3) and
now i want to evaluate cocoon1.7 and followed the installation
instructions. so far so good, but nothing happens. i don't know if i
miss a part, but there is nothing mentioned about to run the build.sh -
Skript, or am i wrong? i try to run the skript (after export JAVA_HOME,
have i do this manually or is here the problem that the jdk have to do
this?), but i get an error similiar to this output:

unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread

Unfortunately i haven't got a lang-directory in my Java-Dir. i also
searched the root-dir recursive for a '*Thread*' class/file, but there
is nothing. What i'm doing wrong, or miss i something?
