I am not sure to follow at all the reasoning:
* Isn't a vote supposed to be technically motivated? I am not sure stating that you don't want to deal with building consensus yourself warrant that.
* Also, you don't even have to deal with building the consensus. You can always sit on the side and watch (or not). Also the issue with regards to hue was created by only one person, and the issues seemed to me rather political.
* There was no such issue for datafu or phoenix. There is no reason to have any issue with CDK as well. So let's not give some individuals more credit than they deserve.
* If we go down the route to exclude any non-ASF software, then let's remove phoenix, hue and datafu. We cannot have the cake and eat it too. We cannot selectively apply such rule based on affinities.
* What are the unintended consequences for Hue? What were they for phoenix and datafu? It is way too vague to help building consensus

> I was looking into morphline and Apache Flume and noticed that CDK was needed in order to get the morphline jars.
> So let's package morphline so other projects can benefit from it!
