Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MAVEN-883
Summary: Secured Repositories
Type: Improvement
Status: Unassigned
Priority: Blocker
Time Spent: Unknown
Remaining: Unknown
Project: maven
Components:
component-fetch
Versions:
1.0-beta-10
Assignee:
Reporter: Brill Pappin
Created: Fri, 3 Oct 2003 1:16 AM
Updated: Fri, 3 Oct 2003 1:16 AM
Environment: WinXP, JDK 1.4x
Description:
We have a fairly large development team, and maven will hopefully solve some of our problems... however, in our environment it is essential that our servers remain as secure as possible, and that means no open repositories etc for our code.
the artifact fetch *must* allow input of username:password during fetch in the case of secure repositories. At the moment, it simply fails showing the HTTP "not authorized" exception.
This might not be a high priority for most of us, but it is so high on our list that I am willing to write the code to do it... let me know if that would be well received.
