Anonymous CVS access broken

hi,

I am trying to connect to the anonymous cvs server.

I am getting this:

cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.apache.org:/home/cvspublic login
Logging in to :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.apache.org:2401/home/cvspublic
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.apache.org(209.237.227.194):2401
failed: Connection refused

I am also notice that I cannot directly access port 2401 using
telnet, so it does appear it is down.

I really need to trunk source to attempt to compile it against java
1.4, since xfire 1.1 beta uses the trunk source though it is
compiled against java 1.5.

thanks,
Andrew
