[jira] [Commented] (TEZ-1117) Option to make YARN application
failed on dag failure

Bikas Saha commented on TEZ-1117:
---------------------------------
That should already be the case in the non-session usage. In the session usage, the termination defines the state of the session. Using the same argument, it would be confusing for users to see an app failed when their DAG had actually succeeded, right? So the usefulness is not clear here. If the primary use case is to submit 1 job per app then the user should not use session. The session configuration is optimized for the case of interactive scenarios.

> Can we have an configuration to make the Application status FAILED on termination if one of the DAGs fail? It is very confusing for users to see the application SUCCEEDED.
