> As part of SENTRY-1893, I upgraded the source and target compiler release version to 1.8. After this change I notice that the Sentry plugin for HIVE 1.1 does not work. The root cause is that this version uses datanucleus 3 APIs which don't work with Java 8. I verified that HIVE2 works fine with Java 8 since it uses datanucleus 4 APIs.
