Hi,

During the 'make test' phase I see the following errors:

# Failed test 8 in t/SATest.pm at line 633 fail #7
Not found: status = X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=
# Failed test 9 in t/SATest.pm at line 633 fail #8
Output can be examined in: log/d.spamc_z/out.1

the test is supposed to be skipped when zlib support is not available, but now
that I look, I see I only did that if zlib support is not available *in the
spamd server*. it doesn't take the lack of zlib support in the spamc client
into account at all! oops. so yep, that needs to be fixed...

could you attach the contents of the files in t/log/d.spamc_z ? (you may have to
re-run "make test TEST_FILES=t/spamc_z.t" if they don't still exist)

could you run the test and then check the syslog for messages from spamc? it
appears the spamd is never connected to, so it's something going wrong entirely
within spamc.
Also, an "strace -f" of the test script would be very useful. generate by:
cd t; strace -fo OUT ./spamc_z.t
then gzip and attach OUT.gz.

------- Additional Comments From gustavo@cpqd.com.br 2007-05-10 05:06 -------
I noticed the following line in /var/log/mail.log:
May 10 07:52:29 barao spamc[11127]: spamc not built with zlib support
Then I noticed that spamc wasn't configured with zlib support because I didn't
have the Ubuntu zlib1g-dev package installed. I installed it and the problem
disappeared.
It seems that the spamc_z test should be disabled when spamc isn't configured
with zlib support.
Thank you for syslog hint.
