[jira] [Reopened] (CASSANDRA-13324) Outbound TCP connections ignore internode authenticator

Ariel Weisberg reopened CASSANDRA-13324:
----------------------------------------

{{MessagineService.getConnectionPool()}} can now return null and there are callers not checking for null.

> Outbound TCP connections ignore internode authenticator
> -------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: CASSANDRA-13324
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-13324
> Project: Cassandra
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Streaming and Messaging
> Reporter: Ariel Weisberg

>
> When creating an outbound connection pool and connecting from within andOutboundTcpConnection it doesn't check if internode authenticator will allow the connection. In practice this can cause a bunch of orphaned threads perpetually attempting to reconnect to an endpoint that is will never accept the connection.
