I would humbly propose to [use a fork I made some time ago](https://github.com/xtassin/cordova-plugin-wkwebview-engine). It's not really fresh but it includes the (imperfect) fix #45 to solve this problem. I will state it again: in my opinion, a specific CSS trick is not the answer to a rendering bug. I follow the webkit bug report.
