adding classes to turbine

I have some class files which I would like classes in my turbine project to
be able to use. How do I make these classes visible to turbine without
actually storing them under the classes directory of my application. (The
same question goes for making jar files available to the turbine).

I have tried adding them to the classpath in catalina.sh which works, but it
seems to mean taht jar files such at turbine-2.1.jar and class files in the
regular place get hidden.

putting the jar files into webapps/yourapp/WEB-INF/lib should do it.
