[jira] [Commented] (SPARK-11811) Database can't be changed if it is specified in url

Ajesh Kumar commented on SPARK-11811:
-------------------------------------

beeline script is invoking "org.apache.hive.beeline.BeeLine" .It has nothing to do with spark engine. So I think this should be treated as a hive issue rather than spark issue.

>
> 1. Starting ThriftServer
> 2. Using below command to connect server:
>     ./beeline -u jdbc:hive2://localhost:10000/test;
> 3. After beeline connected to ThriftServer, execute "show tables", it lists the tables of "default" database.
> I found that: The SessionState who calls setCurrentDatabase method is not the same with the SessionState who calls getCurrentDatabase
