SOAP Sessions

I feel certain this has been discussed before, but I cannot find any
archive of it.

I would like to have my SOAP calls work with a session so that a group
of RPC calls always acts agains the same object.  I thought I had seen a
message in which someone had modified a "Provider" to get able to get
the Session object.  However, I cannot find the "Provider" class, so I
must be looking in the wrong place or for the wrong thing.

Any help?
