[qdr] Router 1.16.x TCP adapter does well in 24 hour soak test.
Using 'hey' with 10 parallel senders -- nginx on the receiving side -- for
24 hours. No crash, no long-term growth in memory, stable CPU usage. It's
beautiful.
40 Gbit/sec network between sender & receiver.
Router memory grew rapidly for first 10 minutes, going from 40 to 60 MB.
Then continued to grow slowly all the way out to 3 hours -- growing from 60
to 64 MB. But then continued to the 24 hour mark without ever exceeding 65
MB.
CPU stayed between 250 and 285% the whole time.
This is only the most basic kind of soak test -- no breaking and making of
new connections, etc. So maybe necessary but not sufficient. But at least
on this one it did great.
