   - Forward port of #12940 from `maven-4.0.x` to `master`
   - Adds the integration test for #12660 (BOM version inherited from imported BOM)
   - Adapted to master's `AbstractMavenIntegrationTestCase` API (`Path`-based, no version-range constructor, pattern-based `TestSuiteOrdering`)
   
   ## Context
   PR #12915 fixed version inheritance in `DefaultDependencyManagementImporter.importManagement()`. PR #12940 added the end-to-end integration test on `maven-4.0.x`. This forward ports that IT to `master`.
