[Bug 65954] New: mod_lbmethod_heartbeat.c:306:78: error: 'proxy_worker_shared' has no member named 'name_ex'
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65954
Bug ID: 65954
Summary: mod_lbmethod_heartbeat.c:306:78: error:
'proxy_worker_shared' has no member named 'name_ex'
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.4.52
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: mod_proxy_balancer
Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
Reporter: postmaster@anacom.pt
Target Milestone: ---
Hi,
I got this error while compiling 2.4.53
(https://downloads.apache.org/httpd/httpd-2.4.53.tar.gz):
In file included from /usr/include/apache/mod_proxy.h:59,
from
/build/httpd-2.4.53/modules/proxy/balancers/mod_lbmethod_heartbeat.c:17:
/build/httpd-2.4.53/modules/proxy/balancers/mod_lbmethod_heartbeat.c: In

'name_ex'; did you mean 'name'?
306 | "lb_heartbeat: No server for worker %s",
(*worker)->s->name_ex);

I did a diff with 2.4.52 and found only one change:

}
I reverted this change and the issue is gone - compile ok.
Thx.

Note: I set this report to version 2.4.52 since 2.4.53 choice was not
available.

Could it be that you are compiling against the 2.4.52 header files?
If you have headers installed, let's say in /usr/include/apache2, compiling a
new version might pick up previous versions headers and produce such errors.

Yes, that was it... Recompiled ok with headers 2.4.53. Shouldn't the build
process use the headers from the new source tree by default?
Thanks a lot :-)
