can i use "svnsync" as backup and restore mechanism?
Hi,
I think I might have ask this question before... Can i use "svnsync" as
backup and restore mechanism? Can i restore the svn repository completely
with svnsync? I understand that I may not be able to restore properties,
hooks from svnsync, and what else?
Thank you.

The svnsync command replicates all your versioned files, and their
attendant svn properties. It does not copy your hooks or conf
directories from the source repository, so you will need to do those
manually (and will need to install at least one hook in the target
repository to allow the user as which you run svnsync to update the
properties of the replica; this is needed so that svnsync can set
various properties of the replicated files).
Tony.
Thank you.

Doesn't look like it, but plenty of other people have:

&defaultField=body&Search=Search&pluginName=messages&dsForumId=1065&dsNa
v=APz&submitButton=Search
svnsync only copies the revisions (and revprops, except for historical
revprops that are changed, unless you use the flag to force syncing of a
specified revprop). Everything else is ignored, so you should copy your
entire server config.
Restore is a case of copying the db and revprops directories (or
pointing the client to the backup location).
