[CODE] tree broken in default_images/svx/res/symphony

Hi,

I found a commit error in above dir, I can't checkout the tree because
of

svn: Path 'default_images/svx/res/symphony/ ' is not in the working
copy

I think it depends on a file named %0D inside that directory.

Checkout from linux works with svn 1.6.12, but doesn't work with os2
1.6.12 client and windows sliksvn 1.6.17 too.

I'm not sure about the correct way to fix this tree issue, so I'm
posting here.

thanks,

This still didn't work with my client, but the patched SVN client
allowed server-side removal of the problematic file, which I then
re-added as _.png

I opened
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122289
for further handling, but the checkout should now work for you.

Regards,
   Andrea.

Yuri,

Thanks for figuring out which file it was that had a damaged filename.

I was able to do a Working Copy cleanup followed by an SVN Update (using Tortoise SVN) and everything finally worked with the repairs that you and Andrea worked out.

I had been having trunk SVN Updates abort with that message, but the name of the problem file was not shown and it did not occur to me how to find it by access to the server -- the browser view does not show the problem and I failed to think through an alternative.

confirmed, now checkout works after removing the working copy
directory.

thanks,

I did try to rename it from '\r' (indeed its name is a carriage-return
character, and surely a mistake) to '_.png' to make checkout possible
for Yuri and then see, at a later stage, if the file must be removed or
renamed.

But my SVN client converts CR and LF in filenames to spaces, so when I
commit is says that the file ' ' is out of date and it won't accept
$ svn mv $'\r' _.png
since the file created at checkout is named ' '.

This seems to be described in
http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=4344
but even patching the SVN client as described there does not work for
me. So, if your client can handle pathological filenames, please do
rename the file as a temporary solution to allow other people to work on it.

Regards,
   Andrea.

It seems that is the name of the file ;)
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/trunk/main/default_images/svx/res/symphony/%0D?view=log
should it be Quadratic_h.png?

Me, too.

But as "Quadratic_h.png is already existing and "_.png" is looking the
same, I think we can remove "_.png"

Best regards, Oliver.

this error normally occurs, when there are no .svn subdirectory. If you
e.g. have moved the directory this subdirectory is often forgotten
(especially in unix).

When something like that happens for me, I try 2 things:

in the parent directory ( default_images/svx/res), do "svn up"
if that fails, do "svn co htpps:........default_images/svx/res/symphony
symphony"

at least this has helped me a couple of times, on linux.
