I just read an article about JAX-RPC. How does this differ from Apache

Sam,
Ok, this puts some things into perspective. The article left out that

JAX RPC is a specification. See http://jcp.org/jsr/detail/101.jsp
Sun's reference implementation can be found at
http://java.sun.com/xml/downloads/javaxmlpack.html
Apache's implementation of this spec can be found at
http://xml.apache.org/axis/
Choice is good.
