I am getting runtime exception while parsing xls file 

The attached XLSM file, which opens fine in Excel, causes the following error in the Tika parser:

Unexpected RuntimeException from org.apache.tika.parser.microsoft.ooxml.OOXMLParser@2a26dfb0

org.apache.poi.xssf.eventusermodel.XSSFReader$SheetIterator

java.lang.NullPointerException
