Impala's Hudi version is controlled by https://github.com/apache/impala/blob/4.1.0/bin/impala-config.sh#L204. I'm not sure how much test coverage there is for it. You can submit patches to Impala using Gerrit, docs: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/IMPALA/Using+Gerrit+to+submit+and+review+patches
