   @jorgebay Thanks for the feedback!
   Indeed, there's no reason to actually emit an `error` event, so I'll change that to `socketError`.
   I am not familiar with this project and thought it was _safer_ to add functionality than to update existing one in terms of impact.
   Also, I needed to expose the connection events in order to be able to reconnect after a network fail for example.
