DO NOT REPLY [Bug 118676] New: Double Quotes counted as words

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=118676

             Bug #: 118676
        Issue Type: DEFECT
           Summary: Double Quotes counted as words
    Classification: Application
           Product: Word processor
           Version: version58
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows 7
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P5
         Component: editing
        AssignedTo: writerneedsconfirm@openoffice.org
        ReportedBy: rivah@silverymists.net
                CC: ooo-issues@incubator.apache.org

The Word Count feature counts quotes around dialogue within writing as words.
I believe the count happens only on Closing Double Quotes. This generates an
inaccurate word count, which can be VERY significant in dialogue-heavy writing,
and is problematic. Double Quotes should not be counted as words.

I can see the issue but the position of the quotes is important (menu "Tools -
Word Count"):

"hello"   --> 1 word
"hello "  --> 2 words
" hello"  --> 2 words
" hello " --> 3 words

How about with a punctuation mark between the word and the closing quote?

"Hello." -> 2 words. It should be 1.
