[jira] [Commented] (AXIS2-4276) Please support methods returning
java.util.Collection in java2wsdl

Sagara Gunathunga commented on AXIS2-4276:
-------------------------------------------
This is already supported in trunk.
public int getMax(Collection<Integer> ins) will generate following schema.
<xs:element name="getMax">
<xs:complexType>
<xs:sequence>
<xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" minOccurs="0" name="ins" type="xs:int"/>
</xs:sequence>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:element>
> Please support methods returning java.util.Collection<T> in java2wsdl
> ---------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: AXIS2-4276
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-4276
> Project: Axis2
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: wsdl
> Affects Versions: 1.4.1
> Reporter: Pétur Runólfsson
> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: 1.7.0
>
>
> The java2wsdl tool doesn't generate useful WSDL for methods that return java.util.Collection<T>:
> <xs:complexType name="Collection">
> <xs:sequence>
> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="empty" type="xs:boolean"/>
> </xs:sequence>
> </xs:complexType>
> It would be much more useful to generate WSDL like for T[]:
> <xs:complexType>
> <xs:sequence>
> <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" minOccurs="0" name="return" nillable="true" type="xs:string"/>
> </xs:sequence>
> </xs:complexType>
> Using manually created WSDL like the latter with a method that returns java.util.Collection<T> seems to work, so it would be nice if java2wsdl supported this also.
