[jira] [Created] (JCLOUDS-1563) Cannot make S3 request with Access
Point instead of Bucket
Blagoi Anastasov created JCLOUDS-1563:
-----------------------------------------
Summary: Cannot make S3 request with Access Point instead of Bucket
Key: JCLOUDS-1563
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCLOUDS-1563
Project: jclouds
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: jclouds-blobstore
Affects Versions: 2.2.0
Reporter: Blagoi Anastasov
Hello,
There is a pretty self-explanatory article about Access Points here: [https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/dev/access-points.html]
The problem is that GetObject and PutObject in jclouds-s3 and also the listBucket require the bucket name. However, AWS present a possibility to use Access Point instead the bucketName. It is in Blocking state because there is a client request for it.
It will look like this:
{{arn:aws:s3:us-west-2:123456789012:accesspoint/example}}
{{}}
Is there any chance to retrieve this scenario via existing jclouds version because I couldn't still do it?
Best Regards,
Blago{{}}
