Right now the [reference guide|http://hbase.apache.org/book.html] has several places where we link to discussions on dev@hbase to explain something or document where a decision was made.

Those links right now rely on "hadoop-search.com". we should update them to link to the now-available [lists.apache.org view of the mailing list|https://lists.apache.org/list.html?dev@hbase.apache.org] since it provides conversation views and is an ASF resource.
