[jira] [Commented] (TS-1270) why can't we force local cache in clustering mode?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-1270?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13683820#comment-13683820 ]

Peter Walsh commented on TS-1270:
---------------------------------

Hello,
Question on how local cache work's here.

Once a URI pattern is setup to force local cache, will the cluster behave as if its non-clustered for those URI's?

Example:

When one node in the cluster cache's an object locally, can other nodes in the cluster still peer fetch the cached object and also cache locally, or will the other nodes have to fetch a fresh copy from the origin before being able to cache it locally?

> in cluster type 1, all content will be hashed in side cluster, you can not cache some very hot content locally, we definitely need a more short way to avoid the latency & bandwidth or some very hot content may destroy the whole cluster.
