Please get the tarballs from
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/subversion
and add your signatures there. I plan to try and release on November
25th so please try and get your votes/signatures in place by November 24th.
Thanks!

- Expanded URL keywords in the tarballs point to the release branch;
they should point to the tag instead.
Known issues:
- 'make swig-py and 'make swig-rb' do not work in out-of-tree builds
- 'make check-javahl' requires 'make install'
- 'make check-swig-py' requires 'make install-swig-py'
- 'make check-swig-rb' requires 'make install-swig-rb'
-- 'make install-swig-rb' tries to install "something" into the
Ruby site dir, which requires root privilege.

Thanks for the explanation Johan. It's been several months since I've
been involved in Subversion on a day-to-day basis, so I missed this.

I was maybe a bit terse when I mentioned "test suite features".
For the record: apparently the test backported in r1538135 depended on
svntest.actions.run_and_verify_checkout being able to handle None as
expected working copy, which seems to be a new feature of the test
suite in 1.8+.
Bert has already fixed the test and nominated for backport [1], and
Ben even called out the fact that it would be a good idea to vote for
it before cutting the 1.7.14 release [2] (sorry ... didn't get to it).

+1 for release.
(I added my signature yesterday and completed the test run a few more days
ago).
I found a few issues, but none are true regressions against 1.7.13 and
earlier. Patches for all of these are in STATUS.
[[
* r1539309
Fix test failure in checkout_tests.py after backporting of r1518184
to 1.7.x in r1538135.
Justification:
The extended regression test relied on test suite behavior in 1.8+,
by not passing a disk tree. The easy fix is to just pass a disk tree.
Votes:
+1: rhuijben, jcorvel
* r1542610
Add missing description to build.conf, to properly generate a version
resource (including icon) for this executable on Windows.
Votes:
+1: rhuijben
* r1404912, r1413402
Allow compiling against Cyrus sasl 2.1.25 by 'fixing' a pointer cast.
Notes:
The structure contains a pointer to function that differs based
on what the structure is used for. The type in the structure
has changed between various sasl versions, but the
implementation still uses the real prototype when calling.
Votes:
+1: rhuijben, stefan2
* ^/subversion/branches/1.7.x-serf-1.3.x-Windows
Allow compiling against Serf 1.3.x
Notes:
Backport of the 1.8 fixes, plus a few more fixes in order not to
break the neon compilation which also hooks into zlib.
Votes:
+1: rhuijben
]]
I applied a few of these fixes and build with the same dependencies as the
Windows buildbots switched to last week:
Visual Studio 2012 x86
apr 1.5.0
apr-util 1.5.3
bdb 4.4.20
expat 1.95.7
httpd 2.4.X (slightly before tagging 2.4.7)
java-sdk 1.7.0
mod_dav 2.4.7
openssl 1.0.1e
sasl 2.1.25
sqlite 3.7.17
zlib 1.2.8
I did a successful [fsfs | bdb] x [local | svnserve | neon] run.
Bert
