Is this feature obsolete because there is now another way of sorting MLT results? Or is there just nobody interested enough to update the patch (if necessary)?

Here is another code reference (also quite old) which includes boosting:

(I'm actually more interested in boosting MLT results but right now I'm following any track I can find.)

If the latter is the case - would this code: https://github.com/dfdeshom/custom-mlt (Apache 2.0 License) be of any help (not my code)? I'm actually more interested in boosting MLT results but right now I'm following any track I can find.
