"email storage server"

Hi!

I am new to JAMES and would like to know your opinion
if it is in your opinion suitable for the following
task.

I would like to setup some kind of "email storage 
server" where incoming emails are saved for 
later access. Users can fetch messages by sending a 
mail with special commands in the subject and the
collected emails are sent away. The mailet 
and matcher concept looks promising for this. 

I could not find any methods for email storage in the
james-api. However, AFAI could see DB access (JDBC) is
part of JAMES.
