I noticed the fixes.
Man, Apache email is slow. Not believing in co-incidences, there was a
huge flame war yesterday in commons re logging. One accepted way of
capping such self-defeating activity is to put a deliberate lag on mail
delivery... I wonder...

Committed that too soon. It should all be working now except for the
class I mentioned in the scratchpad/.../source package
