Jetty Statistics Provider Question

Hi,
I am planning to write a statistics provider (JSR 77) to the Tomcat 
server by copying the stuff in the Jetty Web container. I saw some of 
the source code of the Jetty web container is commented out in the 
latest trunk.  Can anybody please explain the reason behind it ?

Please check out GERONIMO-1293.  I believe Anita is currently working on
this on the Tomcat side.
