Maven archetype plugin 2.5 release?

Hello; lowly Maven user here finding a need for the Groovy script
functionality <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARCHETYPE-494> in
maven-archetype-plugin
version 2.5-SNAPSHOT
<https://maven.apache.org/components/archetype-archives/archetype-LATEST/>
(works great as far as we can tell).  Is there going to be a 2.5 release
soon?  Or are more features/fixes planned?
