[jira] [Commented] (GUACAMOLE-1494) AMD Ryzen performance

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1494?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17471281#comment-17471281 ]

Don Viado commented on GUACAMOLE-1494:
--------------------------------------

I am not experiencing this issue.  In fact, guacamole uses very less resource for me.  I am running on Ryzen 7 4650G / Ubuntu 20.04 / KVM / Dockerized Guacamole.  If you are using Ubuntu distro, and KVM maybe you can check some system logs.  I hit massive performance issue in KVM lately due to kernel and my iscsi and it affected my KVM performance very badly.

> Affects Versions: 1.3.0, 1.4.0
> Environment: Intel Core i7-4790S vs AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

> Priority: Major

> I'm trying to migrate my vm's from a Intel Core i7-4790S system to a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X one and am unable to due to a massive performance loss when on Ryzen.
> Is anybody else running this on AMD?
> I've tried both LXC Container and a Docker Container hosted on a Ubuntu VM, same issue, as soon as I'm on the Ryzen build, performance is abysmal and CPU usage spikes to 100%.
> Everything else on the new system has performed well, except this. I'm out of ideas. Is there a missing instruction set or something?
