   Update: We have now enforced that element names have a `.bst` suffix in BuildStream 2.
   
   The question remains as to whether we should, on the command line, presume to append a `.bst` suffix to a word when that word is provided as a target of a command.
   
   I'm not particularly fond of this and would prefer to demand pedantic/correctly specified targets on the command line.
