Yep! https://wiki.apache.org/tika/ReleaseProcess

But, some of the links/descriptions are for Lucene.

I see that the pesky original-tika-app jar has gone, and we have
the tika-server jar in its place, thanks for fixing that :)

One minor thing - two files have a .md5 and a .sha, one has a .sha1 but no
.md5.

Otherwise, GPG signatures look fine, signatures look fine, source file
builds fine, all looks good.

So, I'm +1 to the release. I've also done a bit of the website update to
help :)

Oh, and another minor thing - do we have a document somewhere describing
the steps to follow to do a release? Needn't be as detailed as the Apache
POI one [1], but might be good to ensure we have enough that someone else
could step in and RM if needed. (I'm not volunteering! Just thinking it
might be handy)

Built in both salt water and fresh (er, Windows 7 and RHEL 6.5).

Thank you, Chris!

And thank you, Uwe and Nick, for the quick work to get poi-3.11-beta2 included!

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Tika 1.6 RC #2

Hi Hong-Thai,

tika-dotnet is not part of our standard build process, it's not
even referenced in the pom.xml and isn't done yet?

How about we fix it in 1.7 but give this one a pass?

Cheers,
Chris

-1 for me because tika-dotnet/pom.xml refer to parent pom with a snapshot
version.
<parent>
    <groupId>org.apache.tika</groupId>
    <artifactId>tika-parent</artifactId>
    <version>1.6-SNAPSHOT</version>
    <relativePath>../tika-parent/pom.xml</relativePath>
  </parent>
