Hypothesis and Apache Annotator

Hello,

Ex-Hypothesis contributors Benjamin Young and Randall Leeds have been
working over the past few months to establish an Apache project to host
core libraries and tools that are useful for building applications that use
the Web Annotations specifications. This project is likely to include some
of the core code that Hypothesis uses for anchoring annotations [1]. There
is also some code which currently lives in the Hypothesis client repository
that might in future benefit other projects if extracted and published as
part of the Apache Annotator project.

While all of us are here in SF I've talked to them to get a better
understanding of how the Apache Annotator project will work and how that
relates to Hypothesis. I have written up an FAQ at https://gist.github.com/
