>                 Key: TOMEE-1612
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMEE-1612
>             Project: TomEE
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: TomEE Core Server
>    Affects Versions: 1.7.2
>         Environment: windows 7 with jdk 1.8.0_40
>            Reporter: John Pratt
>            Priority: Blocker

> We have a RestService that works fine on TomEE 1.7.1 but it fails on TomEE 1.7.2 with a 404 error.
> the rest service looks like this
> public class RestService {
> ...
>     @Path("/Elements")
>     @GET
>     public Response doGetElements() {
>         ....
>     }
> }
> We added a Path to the class as follows and it works on 1.7.2 now
> @Path("")
> public class RestService {
> ...
>     @Path("/Elements")
>     @GET
>     public Response doGetElements() {
>         ....
>     }
> }
> However the path on the class does not work in Tome 1.7.1 we get the 404 error.
> How do you create a restservice that works on both 1.7.1 and 1.7.2
