[PATCH] Extend XPathProcessor with custom prefix resolving
Attached is a patch that extends the XPathProcessor component so that a
custom namespace prefix resolver can be provided for each evaluation of
an XPath expression.
I need this functionality to implement proper xpointer support in
Cocoon, but it's certainly more widely useful.
The patch introduces a new interface "PrefixResolver", adds additional
methods to the XPathProcessor interface that take such a PrefixResolver
as argument, and also includes a little testcase.
Extract the attached tgz in the avalon-excalibur/xmlutil directory, and
new files should be in the right locations. Then apply the included
xpathpatches.diff to update existing files.

There was discussion lately for making commit karma readily available
for Cocoon committers who want to work on the distant machinerie known
as xmlutil & sourceresolver stored in Avalon Excalibur CVS.
I think Bruno's recent patches fit perfectly in this scenario, so here's
my +1 for granting him commit karma at avalon-excalibur. Can some Avalon
peep make this into a proper vote (if needed), or else forward such a
request to infrastructure or apcvs while copying Avalon PMC?
Cheers,

Regardless of the other thread on commit-access, I would very much
appreciate it if someone could commit this patch. It includes a testcase
so if you just run "ant" you'll know if it is applied correctly. (I've
got some things in my cocoon sandbox that are hold up by this)
TIA -- Bruno
