Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: XERCERJ-124
Summary: XMLSchemaValidator does not normalize values based on whitespace facet
Type: Bug
Status: Resolved
Resolution: FIXED
Project: Xerces2-J
Assignee: Xerces-J Developers Mailing List
Reporter: Takuki Kamiya
Created: Fri, 18 Jan 2002 6:30 PM
Updated: Mon, 12 Apr 2004 2:15 PM
Environment: Operating System: All
Platform: All
Description:
Xerces 1.4.3 attempts to normalize values based on the whitespace facet of the
associated datatype. Xerces2 seems no longer support this behaviour. Is the
functionality discontinued, or is it going to be supported possibly as one of
the features of XMLSchemaValidator when it gets to the production version?
