applet problem

Hi friends,

I am trying to embed an applet in my vm page. When I want to access the page the
browser status bar shows an error like this.

java.lang.ClassFormatException: bad magic number.

I have placed the class file in the same directory in which the vm files are
residing.

can anybody help ?
