Michael Sonsini commented on XALANC-533:
----------------------------------------
The usage of Xalan.exe was as follows:
[D:\misc\xalan]xalan.exe -o out.xml C05117UA1005.xml transformation.xslt
InvalidStackContextException: Invalid stack context (, line -1, column -1)
[D:\misc\xalan]

> After upgrading from version 1.8 to 1.9, a previously working transformation fails with the following message:
> InvalidStackContextException: Invalid stack context (, line -1, column -1)
> I needed to upgrade to version 1.9 to resolve the problem in 1.8 with createDOMFactory() call associated with XMLParserLiaison.hpp. I used the Xalan.exe and XalanTransform.exe utilities to isolate the issue to xalan.
> I have confirmed with another xslt processor (http://xslt.sitesfree.com/) that the transformation is valid and produces the expected output.
> This is the first time I am submitting a bug against an apache product. I know that this issue is impossible to analyze without the input file and the transformation. I will either add them to this description if I do not see a way to attach them as files or close this issue and file another one if the prior is not possible.
