Changing the default service context path of Synapse

Hi folks,

I would like to bring your attention to the fact that we have been using the
"/soap" as the default service context path, which is sort of miss leading
because we support lot of protocols than just SOAP. Therefore I propose to
change this default service context path from "/soap" to "/services". Your
feedback on this is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ruwan

Hi Gary,

Nice to hear that it was easy to get it configured, but my concern is about
the *default* context path because we ship samples and all it with the
"soap" context which will some times cause people who just look into synapse
feel like we support only "soap".

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Thanks,
Ruwan

Doesn't matter either way. It took less than 5 minutes of looking
through the config to find it and change it to what we wanted it to be.

Thanks, Gary

through the config to find it and change it to what we wanted it to be.

AW: Changing the default service context path of Synapse

Posted by "Hubert, Eric" <er...@jamba.net>.
Hi all,

I think you remember that I already brought up the exact same idea. So, I'm +1 on this. I guess that is one think a lot of users are doing when they start getting more familiar with Synapse. That's why I think changing the defaults makes perfectly sense.

Regards,
   Eric

PS (offtopic):
While for plain Synapse the configuration process for the user is straight forward, it takes some unnecessary extra work in WSO2 ESB to configure this (three places including a javascript file). I guess I forgot to create a JIRA for this...
