Problem accessing resources inside during startup

I have seen several unanswered posts bringing up issues with accessing
resources defined inside the <DefaultContext>. Specifically, I have a
JDBC definition but I get a Naming Exception (Name jdbcSource is not
bound in this Context) in my servlet. This used to work in Tomcat 4.0.x.
 
Any ideas?
