Summer of code tuscany-das proposal

We would like to add the following to the list of Apache Summer Of Code
proposals.

A) does the team support this
B) is it an appropriate task for summer of code

Also, if there is anyone who would like to help out with mentoring and wants
their name added to the list then that would be great.

This can be an interesting project for a summer student.

Hi Luciano

Unfortunatly this proposal didn't get picked up by summer of code so nothing
is happening about pushing this forward at the moment.

Your ideas sound interesting. We can certainly extend the list of possible
DAS types that we could implement if someone in the future has time. Are you
suggesting in your note that have some time to do some work on an
implementation?

+1 from me (whoo! my first open source vote!!)

I have a fair bit of experience writing DASs with SDO 1, and would be keen
to mentor.
Pending some investigation I may be able to use some of the Java/XML work I
did as a basis for further work.

Regards, Kelvin.

Sure ok, as a committer I'll volunteer to help, contact me offline to move
it along. I've also a few ideas for proposals, will try to post something
when i've more time to write them down.

Fwd: Summer of code tuscany-das proposal

Posted by Simon Laws <si...@googlemail.com>.
I had two positive responses to the summer of code proposal. But none of the
interested parties are Apache committers. The Apache summer of code wiki
says "Any Apache member and experienced committers can submit ideas...". Any
committers out there interested in supporting this proposal?

We would like to add the following to the list of Apache Summer Of Code
proposals.

A) does the team support this
B) is it an appropriate task for summer of code

Also, if there is anyone who would like to help out with mentoring and wants
their name added to the list then that would be great.
