[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-7101) Standardize on bytes or GB for API calls when referring to storage pools or volumes

Mike Tutkowski created CLOUDSTACK-7101:
------------------------------------------

Summary: Standardize on bytes or GB for API calls when referring to storage pools or volumes
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-7101
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-7101
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: Management Server
    Affects Versions: 4.3.0
Environment: Ubuntu 12.04 for the management server
            Reporter: Mike Tutkowski
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: Future

When we break API compatibility in the next major release, it would be a good idea for us to examine our API calls and standardize on either bytes or GB.

For example:

Resizing a volume is in GB; however, creating and updating a storage pool is in bytes.
