Robert Burrell Donkin commented on MIME4J-44:
---------------------------------------------
OSGi uses package level as the basic granularity. Components import and export individual packages. This allows some packages to be hidden from library users. As a starting point, I propose that we export all the packages in the library and then discuss which packages should be hidden.

Use maven-bundle-plugin to OSGi enable this release. This will add the MANIFEST entries required to use mime4j as a library within an OSGi environment.

Stefano Bagnara commented on MIME4J-44:
---------------------------------------
I agree that mime4j should not expose OSGi services.
About the package visibility, I agree that we can show them all: it is a 0.4 release, not an 1.0, so people should understand that such things can change.

To expose services, a direct dependency on OSGi is required. I propose that Mime4J remains a pure library and that any service components are built on top.
