our build file is failing with an error like "only resource collections with a
single resource are supported":
<gzip destfile="${rpms.tar.gz}" >
<fileset file="${rpms.tar}" />
</gzip>
The root cause is the source file doesnt exist. A more meaningful message would
be to check the sizeof iterator=0 and warn of a different problem "nothing to gzip"
