Ok....really I'm cutting out CCs left and right....but here's
(hopefully one of the last) loud ones:

If you look through list archives at regexps.com, there's a message
from me about "what arch can do for enterprise IT".

I think that at least points in the direction of a really good
business model for free software generally -- not just revision
control.   Revision control technology is, however, a cornerstone
element of that business model and (in my opinion) arch's distribution
model (the semantics, no particular detail of implementation) is the
way to go here.
