Same here - I meant to run tests this week but didn't find time.
"Maybe tomorrow" ,-)

So -0 from me as well.

-0 as I wasn't able to test this release at all - so I want to release
only if I get enough positive responses from others!

Agreed on both points ;-)

I won't have time to look at the mentioned xsltal problem before next
week, but it doesn't affect core anyway.

Ok, although the participation in this vote is disappointingly low, I'll
do the release today, anyway.
If problems occur, we can build a 2.1.9.1 easiliy.

I haven't been able to test 2.1.9, but I'm running my website on a 2.1.9
-dev snapshot for some time (sorry, forgot which one, some time fairly
soon after Sylvain's commit of the Dojo stuff). It seems all runs fairly
smoothly.
I've planned to upgrade the website to 2.1.9 some time after the
release, but if it really helps, I'm willing to do it in the next few days.

Bye, Helma

Ok, so far we have
- three binding +1's from Ralph, Joerg and Antonio
- one non-binding +1 from Erron
- two -0 from Bertrand and myself

I'm sorry but this is currently not convincing me. What about all the
other committers?

+1. I've been working with the 2.1.x branch since 31-mar. So far,
everything looks quite stable. I had not time to test the samples, which
are really important for people evaluating cocoon.

Best Regards,

Antonio Gallardo.

Also make sure you have not excluded the test-suite from
build.properties:

#exclude.webapp.test-suite=true

I've got:

Running org.apache.cocoon.CachingPipelineTestCase
Tests run: 2, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 3,276 sec
Testsuite: org.apache.cocoon.CachingPipelineTestCase
Tests run: 2, Failures: 0, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 3,276 sec
Testcase: testCachingProcessingPipeline took 1,937 sec
Testcase: testCachingPointProcessingPipeline took 1,172 sec

Could you please file the relevant log information for
CachingPipelineTestCase? Are you sure you have the latest and
greatest in branch 2.1?

The fix to pipeline caching is documented in status.xml:

    <action dev="JBQ" type="fix" fixes-bug="COCOON-1279">
Fix caching-point pipelines. Remove the undocumented smart-caching parameter.
    </action>

TIA,

Sorry for the delay.

I've been using 2.1.X constantly, didn't stopped at 2.1.8, and forms,
javaflow, and other core elements i've been using (xsl transformer,
available selector, directory generator, resource generator, just to
name a few) are working correctly.

Anyway I'm trying to run tests, i downloaded latest (1.8) htmlunit but
got a compiler error, so i downloaded 1.5 (IMMO we should update).

They run correctly for 90.00%, there have been 4 errors and 1 failure on
50 tests. 2 errors in CachingPipelineTestCase
<ci...@thebug.it>, 1 error in
FormsSharingViewDataTestCase <ci...@thebug.it>, 1
error in RedirectTestCase <ci...@thebug.it> while
the failure was in XslTalTestCase
<ci...@thebug.it> : /html/body/p[1]
expected:<First paragraph of the test document.> but was:<> .

So, +1 for a 2.1.9, but be prepared for a 2.1.9.1 .

FWIW, Erron works with me and has been periodically testing the latest
SVN with our WebCenter product. We are in the process of working on a
new release of our product that requires 2.1.9. We are primarily using
the Portal and a lot of the core components.

+1 from me.

I didn't do any unit tests, but did satisfy myself
about some other things and checked some random samples.

+1

I use it on a regular basis.

However after migrating to the Dojo stuff, I run sometimes into
trouble with HTMLArea. Has someone noticed that as well?
